A large gold frieze on the Independence Monument in downtown Sam Neua (also spelled Samneua, Xamneua and Xam Neua) in northeastern Laos. It depicts contribution of international socialism to the Lao struggle for independence, with soldiers, farmers, and workers in gold against the backdrop of the Lao flag.
