Wooden Planks on the Beach at Whalers Bay Antarctica
Shafts of wood lie on the beach partially covered in snow amongst the ruins of the former whaling station at Whalers Bay on Deception Island. Deception Island, in the South Shetland Islands, is a caldera of a volcano and is comprised of volcanic rock.
