A Guinean wooden drum from the early 20th century crafted by a Baga artist. The Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art is dedicated to historic and contemporary art in Africa. It's one of 19 Smithsonian Institution museums and is located in the grounds of the Smithsonian Castle off the National Mall in Washington DC.
