Cisteren Under the Monastery of Sao Vicente de Fora in Lisbon Portugal
LISBON, Portugal - A large cistern dating back to the 12th century under the West Cloister. The Monastery of São Vicente de Fora is a 17th-century church and monastery in the Alfama neighborhood of Lisbon. It features ornately decorated sections in the Baroque style as well as the Braganza Pantheon, where the kings who ruled Portugal between 1640 and 1910 are interred.
