Stonehenge Standing Stones 156-11000073x
Stonehenge Standing Stones. Believed to have been built somewhere between 2000 and 3000 BC, Stonehenge is one of the United Kingdom's most distinctive landmarks and a major tourist draw. It's function and purpose remains a matter of conjecture, although many theories have been offered. It consists of a series of large standing stones, some of which have toppled over the centuries. Stonehenge is located in Salisbury Plain west of London.
