National Archives in Washington DC Rotunda

WASHINGTON DC, United States — Barry Faulkner's monumental mural "The Constitution" adorns the National Archives Rotunda above the Charters of Freedom. Created in 1936, the mural depicts 25 delegates to the Constitutional Convention, including James Madison presenting the Constitution to George Washington, with Benjamin Franklin and other founding fathers in attendance. Six of the portrayed delegates did not sign the final document.
