Antarctic Museum at the Maritime Museum of Ushuaia Argentina
An exhibit with models demonstrating the conditions of Swedish Antarctic explorers Johan Gunnar Andersson, S.A. Durse, and Toralf Girunded during their wintering in Esperanza Bay as part of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition of 1901-1904. They constructed a small stone shelter and survived on penguin meat. The items in the exhibit, including the cooking pots and the collapsible wooden table, are original items recovered from the base.
